The calendar says spring is here even though it doesn’t feel like it. I’m ready for the heat wave, bring it on!
I’ve been working on a few new things for spring classes, samples for the shop & the upcoming Quilt Shows that we will be
vending at.
We have a delightful BOM program, a Quilt Camp Series that you don’t need to take a vacation to attend & a Mother’s Day
Tea Party along with a few other fun classes.
Stop by & see our samples & all the new spring books, patterns & fabrics. We look forward to seeing you all soon, but until
then, think spring and enjoy our new class schedule.

JEWELRY PARTY – Join us as Michele from “Anew Bead Creations” returns for a jewelry party featuring her new hand
crafted designs for spring. It’s the perfect time to purchase a beautiful one of a kind design for you or for someone special
for Easter or Mother’s Day.

APPLIQUE FOR BEGINNERS – If you would like to learn how to appliqué with cotton, this is the class for you. The pieces
are big & easy to appliqué. We will be working on one block from a Jan Patek Basket quilt. You may like appliqué so much
that you will want to make the entire wallhanging. Either way, this is a fun folk-art project. Class fee includes pattern.
Fabrics & supplies are extra.

Saturday, May 4th & 18th                         9:30 – 12:00                Fee: $30.00 Plus Supplies

QUILT CAMP SERIES – What is Quilt Camp you ask? Quilt camp adventurers will meet once a month for 6 months (1st
Saturday of each month) starting May 4th. We will make 5 different quilts over 6 months all being cut from the same stack of
fat quarters. When you are done you will have five color co-coordinated quilts. Three of the quilts also have additional
accent colors in them. I made all of mine in blues & I’m anxious to make them again in reds. You can choose any color
combinations that you want.

Saturday, 5/4 – 6/1 – 7/6 – 8/3 – 9/7 – 10/5        1:00 – 5:00                Fee: $90.00 Plus Supplies

FINISH IT UP – This is the perfect time to bring in those UFO’s (unfinished projects) & get them finished. We make a light
supper so that you can focus on the sewing.

Friday, May 10th                                 6:00 – 10:00                Fee: $20.00 Includes Supper

MOTHER’S DAY TEA PARTY – Join us for a delightful afternoon with Mom, Daughter or Friends. Enjoy sewing & treats
from Steve’s Kitchen. We will be creating another wool appliqué project from “Pickering Farm Designs”. A spring project
everyone is sure to enjoy.

PAINTED LADY BATIK BUTTERFLY QUILT – This stunning quilt with hand painted butterflies is easier than it looks. Join

BALTIMORE BUNNIES BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH – This traditional Baltimore style quilt is adorned with lots of lovable
bunnies. There are 12 blocks of beautiful appliqué with a delicate swag & flower border. This quilt is bound to be a family
heirloom.
Applique experience required.
The class will meet once a month for 12 months starting June 16th (3rd Sunday of each month). If anyone is interested in a
Thursday afternoon class (3rd Thursday of each month), I will be accepting names & when we have at least 6 students we
will choose a start date. There will be a few breaks in the schedule so that everyone can stay caught up & a break to enjoy
the Holiday season (no August or November classes).
We will help you to choose your own color combination so that you can match your Baltimore quilt to your home décor.
We have scheduled the class fee to be paid in two installments of $85.00 each. First payment is due at time of registration
& 2nd installment is due by January 1st. This includes the $50.00 pattern cost.
Each student will receive a full size pattern with color cover each month.

Hope to see you all soon, until next time, keep those needles pickin’
