I hope that everyone has been staying warm & dry this past week. I don’t mind telling you that I am ready for some sunny
autumn days. Our Holiday class newsletter is ready along with all the class samples. We have a nice selection of one day
classes, workshops & Tea Parties to help you get some gifts & decorations made for the Holiday’s. If you are new to our
class listing, please take a minute to review our Class Policy. Whether you are in the market for a class or just need some
inspiration, we always look forward to seeing you.

Class Policy
**Class size is limited and payment for class is at time of registration.
**If you register by phone or E-mail, credit card payment is expected with in 7 days.
**If you cancel from a class we require that you give us 7 days notice in order to
receive a store credit which is given in a form of gift certificate.
**Because of our busy schedule we do not have make-up classes, so, PLEASE
Mark your calendar & make every effort to arrive prepared, which includes
knowing how to operate the sewing machine that you arrive with.
**We reserve the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum.
**It is the responsibility of the student to pick up the needed supply list & supplies
prior to the date of class.
WOOL APPLIQUE FOR BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE – Many of you have asked for this class as a refresher or just to
get you started on wool. This is a very simple art form that gives immediate results & satisfaction. Wool appliqué is a great
way to make small Holiday gifts for family & friends.
Saturday, November 3rd 1:00 – 4:00 Fee: $25.00 Includes kit
THE STOCKINGS ARE HUNG – In this one day workshop you will make two different Pickering Farm Designs wool
appliquéd Christmas stockings. The first one is “Let It Snow”, with a snowman of course & the second one is
“An Angel Above”. Bring a bagged lunch (we will make dessert).
Sunday, November 11th 10:00 – 4:00 Fee: $45.00 Includes patterns
SNOWMAN PILLOWCASES – These adorable pillowcases have a machine pieced snowman as the cuff with big buttons on
his belly. Everyone will want these as a gift. Choose any Holiday fabric from traditional to whimsical, they all will look great.
Bring a bagged lunch (we will make dessert).
Sunday, November 18th 10:00 – 4:00 Fee: $45.00 Includes pattern
HOME SWEET HOME/CHRISTMAS COOKIES – This one day workshop is based around two new designs by “Jerome
Thomas Designs”. Wool appliqué for intermediate to advanced. You choose which design you want to make & we guide you
through the steps whether you want to make a pillow, tablerunner or wallhanging, so many options. Bring a bagged lunch (we
will make dessert).
Sunday, November 25th 10:00 – 4:00 Fee: $45.00 Includes pattern
CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS – These 12 ornaments were designed by Bonnie Sullivan of “All Through the Night” designs.
They are wool appliqué with embroidery. The designs are already transferred onto the fabric, so they will be quick & easy to
make. Choose which one you want to start with & finish the rest up before the holiday decorating even begins.
Friday, November 30th 1:00 – 4:00 Fee: $15.00 Plus kit
WARM HEARTS/METAL TRAY – Many of you have asked for a class to create something for the large metal trays that we
sell. Well, to keep with the snowman theme for winter we have chosen a wool appliqué snowman design with snowflakes,
heart & cardinal. It is quick & easy for any skill level. Bring a bagged lunch (we will make dessert).

FOLKART STYLE SNOWMAN TABLERUNNER – This is an adorable machine pieced cotton tablerunner with a small
amount of wool appliqué. It is quick & easy & will look great on anyone’s table for the winter. Bring a bagged lunch (we will
make dessert).

MYSTERY IN THE CHRISTMAS TREE – What are we making now you ask? We will be making three different
“Pickering Farm Designs” Wool Applique Christmas Ornaments that can be used to decorate your tree or give as gifts. Wool
kits will be available at a small additional cost at time of class. Bring a bagged lunch (we will make dessert).

HOLIDAY SEASON TEA PARTY – Join us for a delightful afternoon with friends, sewing & enjoying treats from Steve’s
Kitchen. We will be creating another wool appliqué project from Pickering Farm Designs with a winter theme. Wool appliqué
experience required. We have two dates for you to choose from.
