I hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday Season. We have a great selection of Classes, Clubs &               
Block-Of-The-Month programs for your winter enjoyment. Because it is winter make sure to check snow dates.
I hope to see you all soon for one reason or another, but until then, sit back with a warm beverage and enjoy our
2019 winter class schedule.

Class Policy

**Class size is limited and payment for class is always at time of registration.
**If you register by phone, credit card payment is expected.
**If you cancel from a class you must give us 7 days notice in order to
 receive a store credit.
**Because of our busy schedule we do not have make-up classes, so, PLEASE
 mark your calendar & make every effort to arrive prepared.
**We reserve the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum.
**Supply lists are available only after registration & payment has been made.
**It is the responsibility of the student to pick up the needed supply list & supplies
 prior to the date of class.
**Remember, helping you choose your fabrics for class is always a pleasure!

CIVIL WAR CLUB 1 or 2 – For those who are currently participating in these clubs, please mark your
calendars. Club 1 starts January 12th & continues through the year on the 2nd Saturday of each month,
Club 2 starts January 26th & also continues thru the year on the 4th Saturday of each month.
1:00 – 4:00                                                Class Fee: $15.00 covers 3 months of class

SNOWMAN BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH CLUB - This is for pick-up only, there is no class scheduled, yes we will
ship. This quilt is my own (Pickering Farm Designs) creation. The quilt will have 12 snowman blocks on a slate blue
background (winter sky). It is completely wool appliqué. Each month you will receive a pattern & wool kit for one
The blocks will be available for pick-up or shipping on the 3rd Friday of each month starting January 18th.
The 1st & last month payments are due at time of registration & this does not include the cost of shipping.
Monthly Fee: $24.95 for 12 months

SNOWMAN BORDERS BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH CLUB – These are the four borders for our snowman quilt. If you
have finished your blocks & would like to make your quilt a bit larger, this is the way to do that.
The wool colors are the same as the quilt. The program runs for four months.
The border will be available for pick-up or shipping on the 4th Friday of each month starting January 25th
Monthly Fee: $34.95 for 4 months         Deadline for registration for borders is January 18th        

MRS. MILLERS APPRENTICE BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH – This 77”x 89” blue & cream quilt is machine pieced. We
are offering it as a class or a pick-up. We only have a few spaces left in the pick-up program. The class is held the
fourth Sunday of the month starting January 27th from 1:00-4:00. There is no class fee but the purchase of the
Easy Angle Triangle Ruler is required.
The 1st & last payment is due at time of registration & this does not include the cost of shipping.
Monthly Fee: $24.95 for 12 months                                                 

LIVE EACH SEASON BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH – This program runs once a month for 12 months. The quilt was
designed by Buttermilk Basin & measures 48” square. We are making it with flannel backgrounds & wool appliqué.  
Cost includes all flannels & wools for entire top & binding. The class meets the 3rd Saturday of each month starting
January 19th & finishes up in December.                1:00 – 4:00                
1st & last months payments are due at time of registration.                Monthly Fee: $29.95 for 12 months

PUNCH NEEDLE – What is it?  Punch needle is a miniature version of rug hooking but you use pearl cotton or floss
threads instead of wool strips. You can choose from a large selection of patterns. This is a two week class.
Saturdays, January 19th & 26th                  10:00-12:00 (Snow date February 2nd)        Fee: $25.00 plus supplies

STRINGING ALONG – You guessed it, this is a class to learn how to construct a string quilt. You can use up
all your scraps of fabric & create something useful with them. You will learn how to foundation piece on fabric, the
correct way to square up your string blocks & what to do with them when they are finished.
Thursdays, January 24th & 31st                 1:00-4:00 (Snow date February 7th)             Fee: $25.00 plus supplies

WOOL APPLIQUE FOR BEGINNERS – Many of you have admired our wool appliqué samples in the shop, well if
you want to learn how we do them then this class is for you. You won’t believe how easy it is.
Saturday, February 2nd (snow date March 2nd)                           1:00 -4:00                    Fee: $30.00 Includes kit

TEA PARTY – VALENTINE’S DAY – Got cabin fever than join us for a delightful afternoon with friends, sewing &
treats from Steve’s Kitchen. We will be creating a wool appliqué project designed by Pickering Farm & just perfect
for the Valentine Holiday.
Sunday, February 3rd (snow date February 10th)                       1:00 – 4:00                   Fee: $40.00 Includes kit

LOTUS QUILT – Karla will be teaching this very unique quilt using the Hex-N-More ruler & the delightful pattern
from J Bird Designs. She will also be available on Thursdays to help you pick your fabrics. She has made a sample
with the new “Voysey” collection & it is beautiful.
Saturdays, February 9th, 16th & 23rd                                          10:00 -12:00                 Fee: $40.00 plus supplies

WEAVER FEVER QUILT – This is a fun & interesting quilt that looks great in any colors. I have made two different
color combinations & would love to make a third. Machine piecing experience is required for this class.
Thursdays, Feb 21st, 28th & March 7th (Snow date March 14th)        1:00 – 4:00          Fee: $40.00 plus supplies

VILLA ROSA DAY QUILT – Every winter we pick a pattern that is fast & easy to make & teach it as a one day class.
This is great for any skill level as long as you have at least one quilt under your belt & have a ¼” foot for your
sewing machine. You cut & sew the entire top of the quilt in class. The class fee includes the kit for entire top &
binding of 53”x 68” quilt. Our shop sample is flannel, perfect for winter. Don’t like flannel, feel free to pick anything
else in the shop excluding wool.
We meet from 10:00-4:00 (bring a bagged lunch, we make dessert).
Sunday, March 3rd (Snow date March 10th)                                                                    Fee: $85.00 includes kit

UNDER THE STARS QUILT – This quilt is made using a layer cake & spinning stars foundation papers. The blocks
work up fast & the quilt goes together very easy, but looks like it would take a long time to make. We have a limited
number of kits available for class students if you choose to make this in the sample colors. If not, you can pick your
own color combinations.
Saturdays, March 16th, 23rd & 30th (Snow date April 6th)                   10:00 -12:00        Fee: $30.00 plus supplies

FINISH IT UP – This class is designed for those of you who have unfinished projects. You bring what you want to
work on & sew all day. Bring a bagged lunch (we will make dessert). Keep in mind that this is not designed as a
make-up class; it is to work on your own projects with someone being available for assistance or questions.
Sunday, March 31st (Snow date April 7th)                                           10:00 – 4:00        Fee: $20.00

CAN’T MAKE THE CLASS – If you would like to have the space to work with a few friends, remember that you can
rent our Classroom just about any Friday. Call the shop to set up a time. The room is available from 10:00-4:00 & is
$10.00 per person, payment when you register is required. During the winter months we suggest that your group
chooses a snow date for a back-up plan.
